Sea to Sky & The Island

Sea to Sky & The Island
Sunset ferry ride from Vancouver to Vancouver Island

The past 3 weeks have been filled with lots of adventure, beautiful scenery, and the most wonderful company.

Upon returning back to Nova and the van at the start of October, we spent some time travelling up the scenic Sea to Sky highway from Vancouver to Whistler. On the way, we spent time in Squamish, the outdoor recreation capital of Canada. We hiked, slack-lined, and met up with some friends who took us outdoor rock climbing on the side of a cliff, and had a much needed game night.

We took a beautiful ferry ride back to Vancouver Island for Thanksgiving weekend where we were joined by Logan's parents and participated in the Royal Victoria Half-Marathon! Our best 21.1km race yet with the best views, and the best supporters along the course. An amazing weekend filled with laughs, love, and memories made with great company.

The week was spent travelling up the west coast of the island and discovering cool trails and beaches!

On Friday we picked up Bri's mom from the ferry and spent a wonderful weekend celebrating Bri's birthday and exploring more of the Island with Jeanette. Many more breath taking views, laughs, and memories made in Victoria and along the coast. We loved being able to share this journey and all these special moments.

The van (and us) have officially made it from Mile 0 in St. John's, Newfoundland all the way across the Trans-Canada Highway 1 to Mile 0 in Victoria, BC.

Obviously we had to visit a board game cafe to celebrate Bri's birthday!
Squeaky Point, East Sooke Regional Park, Vancouver Island. We sat for 20 minutes watching not one, not two, but at least THREE whales munching on some salmon in the bay pictured behind us. What a magical morning!

As you can see, our hearts have been extremely full the past couple weeks. We are looking forward to spending more time exploring this island before making the journey back towards Ontario for Christmas!
